JOHN D. DAVIS NON PROFIT

OUR MISSION

The John D. Davis Non-Profit Organization's mission is "to reflect the love of God for children by providing facilities and financing for Christ centered family foster homes."  Our vision is to be able to expand our ministry into homes thru out the valley.  Each of these homes will be focused on providing a stable long term environment for foster children.  The stability that is provided will allow each homes directors to show the love of Christ to the children in their care in a ministry that will be multiplied by the lives that are touched by the children we have ministered to as they grow and mature in Christ and in life.

OUR OBJECTIVE

Jesus said, "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me" (Mark 9:37).  The value that God places on children is at the heart of the John D. Davis Non-Profit Organization.  Founded in memory of John D. Davis in 2008, our mission is "to reflect the love of God for children by providing facilities and financing for Christ centered family foster homes."

Each home will have three main goals.  The first is to provide a loving and stable Christian environment for the foster children in their care.  The second is to provide educational and emotional support to help these children with their current situations and prepare them for the future.  Finally the directors of each home will seek additional opportunities to minister to youth and young adults in their surrounding area.

OUR SERVICE

Since the primary focus of the foundation is ministry we have different market segments.  The first is the foster children in the system who are in need of the Christian environment we are seeking to provide.  Currently the number of children in the system in the state of Arizona runs into the thousands with a large number in need of long-term foster care. Our plan is to give these children a stable environment where they can feel safe and loved.  Most of these children will come from terrible situations and we want to teach them that they don’t have to be afraid, that they don’t have to be violent, not to do drugs, not to break the law, not to abuse and neglect their children, and most important not to repeat what they are going thru when they become adults.  Most foster children are moved from home to home.  We want these children to stay in one home and not be moved around.

The other segment of the market that we must reach are those who would be willing to help support the ministry.  This support comes in the form of financial donations, donations of goods and services, and prayer and emotional support.  We will seek this support from individuals, business and churches.  It is important that people realize that we have a large mission field right here in our city.
